3.1 Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in via a third-party provider (e.g., Google), we receive the profile information they share with us.

3.2 Survey Content

We store the surveys you create, including questions, settings, themes, and branding assets. We also store responses submitted by your survey respondents, including any text, ratings, files, or voice recordings provided during conversational surveys.

3.3 Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. We receive a customer identifier, plan details, and billing status from Stripe to manage your subscription.

3.4 Usage and Technical Data

We automatically collect IP addresses, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps. This data helps us maintain security and improve the Service.

3.5 Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

3.6 Voice Data

When respondents use the voice mode feature, audio is streamed in real time to third-party speech-to-text providers (currently Deepgram) for transcription, and to text-to-speech providers (currently OpenAI) for AI responses. Audio is processed in transit and is not stored by us or our providers beyond what is needed to complete the transcription or synthesis.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers that help us operate the Service, including Supabase (database and authentication), Anthropic (AI processing), Deepgram (speech-to-text), OpenAI (text-to-speech), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting). Each provider processes data under their own privacy policies and our data processing agreements.
• Survey creators receive the responses and respondent information submitted to their surveys.
• Law enforcement or legal process when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of us or others.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication, and access controls. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Survey responses are retained until the survey creator deletes them or closes their account. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

You can update your account information, delete surveys and responses, and close your account through the settings page.

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale (we do not sell data). To exercise these rights, email support@alent.net.

EEA, UK, Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to processing. Our legal basis for processing is contract performance (to provide the Service) and legitimate interest (to improve and secure it). Contact us to exercise your rights.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.

10. International Data Transfers

Data may be processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to the US. We use providers that adhere to appropriate data transfer mechanisms.
